None of those things you mentioned are jobs. They're volunteerism. That's a great thing but it's not a job. Jobs are things like, oh I don't know, being a best selling book writer. Liberals attack the messenger instead of the message when they don't agree with their politics.

Joy looks confused no matter who's on. She can't sit still in her seat, squiming to shout out, "What about Bush!"

Nora Dave B wrote a great piece we could all use to learn more about where we are, where we are headed politically and how we can evaluate what's happening. MM is over 40 and one of the great young voices today not the least afraid to evaluate current events and make cogent comments about underlying causes; she, to, is entitled to her opinion. Did you notice how defensive you got (as tho we care). Name calling is a typical liberal tactic when they can't or won't address facts or issues. As Dave B gently urged, do some fact-checking and ask a few questions before reacting. I was taught that if you're not a liberal in your twenties, you have no heart AND if you're not conservative by age 40, you have no brain.

Dave,

Thanks for assuming I am young. I am a fifty something who has worked for a fortune 5 health care company for 18 years. I am well read, well traveled and educated. I have lived in 7 states throughout my adult life. I volunteer in my community,I pay taxes and I am entitled to my opinion!

Enough of your condesending remarks.

What I question is what value does MM add to this country? She is an angry republican. Might I suggest being part of the solution, not part of the problem!

Drew and Nora epitomize the problem normal taxpaying citizens face. I don't want to cast aspersions on either of you because I was young once and quite liberal... once. Read the damn book and make up your minds without the influence of people with a specific agenda. Your statements are quite self-explanatory. You feel like you are vindicated because OTHER people did something? Come on! Start questioning those in power and those who seem to agree with your philosophy and you'll see (unless you are cowards) that the left makes no sense in reality, that they actually HIDE what they actually think, and that they play to the stupid and not the intelligent. I already went through that transformation and it took a black professor in Massachusetts to show me how to do it and how to think and evaluate on my own. When you're young you think you know everything at some point until you live life the way it really is. If you're older and still think that way then you've probably lived a sheltered life and have never had to earn anything on your own and it allows you to feel guilty instead of proud of what you or your family has accomplished. Don't fall into the category of an elitist because to an average person with any life experience whatsoever you are a fool. Check out every detail listed in Michelle's book and re-check it until you are satisfied. Don't look for affirmation because that will "dumb you down". You'll probably, at some point, be a little confused and feel a little guilty that you're questioning what you've been taught by professors and teachers all along but at that point you'll know what is right and what is wrong and hopefully you'll see what a majority of America sees. You'll begin to understand what our founding fathers dealt with and what they were trying to do in constructing a new innovative government that had never been tried that turned out to be the most prosperous and innovative in the history of the world and how we must constantly question those in power so that they do not fulfill their natural inclination to stay in power and suppress and use the rest of us to stay in that position and benefit themselves. My "epiphony" came when I realized that Democrats and not Republicans or conservatives lied about their actual positions on things. I wondered "why" and figured it out. I hope and pray that you will do the same, no matter how painful or uncomfortable it may be.

Well, Nora and Drew, the book is, last I checked, #1 at Amazon. Obviously, the story of the rampantly corrupt Obama administration is interesting to quite a few people.

But, hey, dismiss it. That's okay. November 2010 is a long way away, right?

I heard that the majority of the studio audience left the book in the studio. Who wants to read that smut. MM---go get a real job...something that makes a difference in the world like helping the needy, planting trees, feeding the homeless, reading to the elderly........ Your profession is all about slinging mud and wasting air time!
