A Note to Jake Tapper and His Other Media Compatriots
Come on Jake, don’t dance around; you can write that sentence. If the President was named Bush and the issue was Social Security, you know you would have written it the very first time a couple Republicans so much as expressed doubts about any part of his plan. There’s no reason you can’t write it now. It even has the benefit of being completely true.
If you can’t write it, at least cut and paste it from here right into the lede of your next story about Blue Dog Democrats.
Here you go.
“Opposition to President Obama’s health care plan is both broad and bipartisan.”
That’s not so difficult, is it? The great thing is that you can use the same sentence in your next story about his climate change plan, too. Just swap in “climate change scheme” for “health care plan” and you’re set!
UPDATE: Linked by Ed Driscoll, wh found that the President has some might big worries.
