Stacy is deserved some congratulations today for clocking his two-millionth hit. He’s managed that pretty impressive milestone in not even 18 months of blogging, having broken many of the rules that new bloggers are told they must follow assiduously or be marooned in No Traffic Hell.

Believe me when I tell you that it is an impressive milestone. Stacy’s blog hasn’t had less than 115,000 visitors in any month this year. By comparison, The Shack hasn’t broken 30,000 a month this year. I’m no slouch when it comes to blogging, either, so believe me when I tell you that he’s doing something right.

And lest you think that he’s doing it the cheap way, consider that by my rather conservative estimate, Stacy averages an Instalanche a week. Name a blogger whose name isn’t Ann Althouse, Rand Simberg, or Ed Driscoll who can say that. Not only does he get regular attention from Glenn Reynolds, but he also gets regular links from Hot Air and Michelle Malkin (for the love of God he’s in her book!).

Stacy McCain is unorthodox, brash, and unrelenting, but he’s also one hell of a good blogger. If you’re a new blogger, you could do a lot worse than to emulate him.

I see Stacy doing more active cultivation of others than anyone else I can think of.
He recruited me right after CPAC. What a wild trip it’s been thus far.

Ditto, Smitty. I wonder what lucky schmuck it’ll be next year ;-) .

Ah, Suze, you walk into Instalanches without even trying these days, such is your mojo!
