As for the libel stuff, libel is really hard to prove in court. And even printing factually incorrect information doesn't reach the standard. It also has to be knowingly and with legal malice. Even the lunatics who still accuse Hillary of murder don't reach that standard. There's no case there, which is why Ms Moore remains defiant.

Let's be clear. Palin's lawyer is not threatening free speech; but libelous speech (you know, the speech that's already against the law). In fact, the one person he's mentioned in particular is telling known falsehoods about Palin and continuing her harassment of the Governor. As far as Letterman goes, I'd say that a rape joke aimed at a minor child is something decent human beings would want none of, but it's nice to see you defending it.

As for the rest, can the woudned dove act. It's laughable.

Cut to Sarah Palin's lawyer threatening Blogs and others, trying to take away people's right to say they think Sarah Palin is an idiot and a liar.

What is the reaction of way too many on the Right? They cheer this, as though they do not routinely make unprovable false allegations about Soros and ACORN and Obama.

They want to see Letterman sued for telling a joke, Andrew Sullivan sued for asking questions about Governor Palin's pregnancy. They mistakenly assume that the loser of a Civil Suit is imprisoned and make threats about anyone who criticizes their Messiah.

It is preposterous, anti-Democracy, and stupid. It is the behavior of would-be fascists and certain losers.

Somehow, when conservatives and Republicans today walk on the field, they know they will lose.

It is pathetic.

Although I don't care about her much, I kind of dislike her. She seems mean-spirited and petty (I hated her Republican Convention speech). She does not seem intellectually curious. That doesn't make her a bad person, but it's not a very good recommendation to be President.

I know lots of people love her, and I think that's great.
