If you’re looking for two words to sum up why Washington, DC has been a national joke for the past thirty years, you couldn’t do better than “Marion Barry”.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former D.C. mayor, now Washington councilman, Marion Barry has been arrested again.
On July 4, the U.S. Park Police arrested Barry and charged him with misdemeanor stalking.
About 8:45 p.m. in Anacostia Park, a Washington woman flagged down a Park Police officer on patrol and pointed to Barry, who was in another car. The woman said Barry was stalking her, Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser said.
Barry (who CNN fails to note spent most of his career as a staunch Democrat and eagerly defended Barack Obama’s racist associate) is already on probation for not paying taxes for several years. He’s been arrested at least three other times in the past and spent some time in jail on drug charges, yet continues to be elected to city office.
If the people of D.C. ever want a functioning government that isn’t a laughingstock for the rest of the country, they’re going to need to be rid of Barry and the hundreds of Barry crony hires who infest city government. They are the biggest reason the city is still a shambles today.

I am a centrist but will call BS where I see it and CNN’s coverage of this story (surprised its up, not really news with this guy) failed even once to mention he is a Democrat politician. If on the other hand he had been Republican, they would have mentioned Republican 4 times and possibly even thrown in ‘conservative’ once. Clear slant.
