Hi! Billy Mays Here for Obamacare!
I really don’t know why the White House and ABC News are even trying to make the day-long Obamacare infomerical look like anything else.
They’re not even trying to hide the bias.
An analysis of contributions to the Obama and McCain campaign shows that ABC employees contributed more than $160,000 to the Obama campaign versus less than $5,000 to the McCain campaign.
Like Glenn Reynolds said, ABC couldn’t be more in the tank on this one given that the ration of Obama supporters to McCain ran about 33-1 at ABC.
And they’re not exactly reporting that the Director of Communications for the health care reform office used to be the Chief Capitol Hill Correspondent at ABC News not all that long ago. I mean, that’s something an objective news organization would want to disclose right away, just to keep things above board, right?
Yeah, sure.
Look, if ABC and the White House really wanted to sell the President’s health-care plan honestly, they’d dump Charlie Gibson and Diane Sawyer and get Billy Mays to do the Q and A session with the President. I’m pretty sure he’d do it for less money and he has some experience selling health insurance on television.
At least then they could say they were honest shills for the President.
