Do We Have Another Watergate On Our Hands?

| June 18, 2009 | Comments (4)

There’s a little scandal aborning in the White House that could become a real problem for the President. My guess is, as the days go by, the President is going to wish he never heard the name “Gerald Walpin”.

You can get the short version of the story from Moe Lane, Michelle Malkin (via Ed Driscoll), and Byron York (who is the go-to guy on this story) and most recent developments from NTC News.

This is one of those stories that has “Watergate” written all over it. It involves abuse of the public trust, corruption, cronyism, and a couple clumsy attempts to cover the story up. It also involves a man who won’t stand for having his good name slandered.

Keep your eyes on this story. It could very well become the one that breaks this administration. Remember, every big scandal started as a nothing-burger and got bigger the more folks dug into it.

I agree Suek; and since they are holding back all that stimulus money to use to win the next election – the people who voted for this guy are not going to care that he is a corrupt politician. As long as they are being handed money that somebody else had to work for….
