This question gets to be tiring, but it’s worth asking. What do you think the outcry would have been had the men in this case been Klan members?

Jennifer Rubin has the real heart of the story. Neither the men nor anyone from their organization bothered to show up at the trial. The judge ordered the Justice Department to file for a default judgment. In other words, the men lost and they were facing potentially severe penalties.

However, the political hacks who run the department killed the case against two of the men just ten days later. Why? Well, the spokesman for the department said it came after “a careful assessment of the facts and the law”. That “careful assessment” apparently didn’t involve listening to the career lawyers who recommended proceeding with the default judgment.

The only penalty the department allowed prohibited one of the three men from carrying a dangerous weapon into a polling place, which I though was illegal anyhow. No jail time. No fines. No injunctions against a group of avowed bigots.

No, just a complete disdain for the rights of voters from President Hopenchange.

Good thing I don’t live in Philly. I would’ve walked right by them and dared them to do something.

There is NO place in the USA for crap like that. The fact that Holder’s justice dpt. dismissed the case is just further proof that racial politics and political cronyism (the New Black Panthers endorsed BHO) not only didn’t end with Hopenchange, they ACCELERATED.
