America is Getting Fed Up

| May 26, 2009 | Comments (8)

I like the way Smitty put this:

This administration needs to become the Battle of the Bulge for the collectivists, the time where they threw in everything to the last union, acorn, and unicorn but couldn’t quite crush the American spirit.

Smitty links to this Peter Robinson column in Forbes that I recommend you read today. There is a smoldering discontent in this country right now that is bordering on righteous anger. In only five months, people are growing very tired of having the government meddle in their affairs. One day some cocky government lifer who never managed to work for a paycheck in his adult life is telling us that we should buy this car or spend this much money on a house. The next day another bunch of alleged do-gooders is telling us they want to regulate one of life’s simple pleasures for our own good as if we were simple-minded children.

American’s getting fed up. You can feel it. Who knew it would happen so quickly?

Coming up on 1/8th of the way through this ordeal. Thank Gore for the tubey-webs, or I'd likely slip into some level of depression.

Where do I get your acid? I really like hallucinogens, but you obviously have better ones. And I was silly enough to think Owsley's* recipe was the best. Look at the polls, Americans aren't fed up if they give the president 70% approval. They are frustrated for sure, but not having a job kind of does that. But they still blame Bush for that. And for the reason that any economic policy takes about a year to take effect. Wait a little and see. Second Quarter numbers are already showing improvement. But let's be real, that could just be an anomaly. But compared to Bush's last quarter, well nothing could be that bad, so it's obviously better. But it's actually positive. Compared to radical collapse, that's good.

*What's disturbing is that if I type 'Owsley', I get Owsley Stanley, who was the person I was talking about. But he's not exactly someone who deserves immediate recognition. Although his chemical prowess is commendable. But I type in 'Obama', and it's considered a misspelled word. I'm not sure when the President of the United States of America became such an irrelevant office that the holder of the office would become a misspelled name. But I'm really sure it was when a Democrat was elected to that office. 'McCain' is already considered to be correctly spelled, and it has two capital letters in the same name. And 'Gingrich' and 'Cheney' are considered to be properly spelled for no reason at all. But the most powerful person in the world is considered to be misspelled. But Mozilla is a hardcore Republican company that cannot be swayed. They will always favor Republicans, just like the TV media. When the balance is two Republicans for every Democrat, it's hard to argue the "liberal media" crap. The previous argument was that the Republicans were in power so they should get the majority of coverage. Now the argument is that the Republicans are out of power, so they should get the majority of coverage so the people in power can't control the media. The only consistency is the idea the the Republicans always get the majority coverage in the media. So can you tell me where this mythical 'liberal media' exists? I'm hoping to dive for some buried treasure, and we're obviously talking about an ancient culture, right? So this mythical 'liberal media' must be some kind of ancient gold bearing culture that wasn't raped by the Catholic Church, right?

Funny.. I typed in fostert and it was corrected to Fostard.

    "America's getting fed up" huh?

I guess that explains Obama's plus sixty percent approval ratings on Gallup/Fox/CNN and just about every major polling industry, with a low-point of 58% on Rasmussen.

America getting fed up, my ass. Conservative tools are getting fed up that they keep losing.

  5. Tom says:

Oh wait, I forgot. All these polls are made up by the evil liberal media, which is secretly controlled by the evil George Soros.

Like all those lying polls that showed Barack HUSSEIN Obama beating John McCain last November. Man, did the lying liberal media have egg on their face November 5th!

    Oh wait…

  6. Lynn says:

Whoever believes what they hear/see on Gallup/Fox/CNN needs their head examined. There is no liberal vs. conservative in government. That's just an illusion for the sheeple. They will continue with the same agenda no matter who is Puppet in Chief (even if he's not a legal citizen!)
