How I’ll Beat the Holiday Friday Evening Low-Traffic Blues
Blog traffic today has been horrendous, mostly owing (say my blogging friends) to the Memorial Day weekend.
To be honest with you, I’m also a little burnt out on politics. A man can type the name “Nancy Pelosi” only so many times before he starts to get that little twitch in the right eyelid that presages some sort of insane rampage. So, this weekend, I’m going light on the politics and a bit heavier on the fun.
Did I say fun? What I meants* to say was Britney Spears in a bikini! Can I also put in a request for one of my blogging friends in a bikini, too?
If that’s not quite enough fun, then you’ll find this story interesting. A mayor of a city in Texas sent a letter from an undisclosed location in Mexico to say he was quitting his job to run off with his Mexican boyfriend. Who is also an illegal alien. I swear I’m not making that up. Go see for yourself.
Moe Lane is nerdblogging and nothing says nerd quite like an award-winning novelist interviewing a stick of butter. There was no mention of the butter’s immigration status or whether it was wearing a bikini.
Monique has fled the area on vacation, but not before leaving us a couple lovely pictures of Reese Witherspoon. I confess to having a gargantuan crush on Ms. Witherspoon, so I am well-pleased with HotMES.
