Who is Lacking an “Exit Strategy” Now?
Democrats do like their “exit strategies”, so it’s kind of surprising that they have no such strategy for the waterboarding scandal in which they’ve mired themselves.
What surprises me most about this is that Nanci Pelosi, et alia, appear to have believed that they could simply hang the CIA out to dry without the agency leaking the goods it had on them. Surely she had to know that the CIA wouldn’t simply suck up her abuse without getting its licks in. Or perhaps she didn’t. After all, she is the Dumbest Speaker of the House Ever.
The oddest thing, though, is that, thanks to Pelosi’s prevarication, the case for waterboarding and other “enhanced interrogation techniques” now has concrete bipartisan support and is more acceptable now than when the sadistic Chimpy McHitlerTorture was President.
UPDATE: It’s not just waterboarding where they lack an exit strategy either.
