My President Scared the Bejeezus Out of Manhattan and All I Got Was this Lousy Photograph

| May 6, 2009 | Comments (7)

air-faux-one-manhattanSo after telling us that no way, no how would we get the pictures of Air Faux One buzzing the Statue of Liberty, the administration has relented.

According to Robert Gibbs, the White House has graciously decided to release one whole photograph along with its review of the incident.

One. That’s it. That’s all we get.

Oh, and a nice “Screw You!” from the White House for daring to question its judgement. But that’s just a bonus, you know, a little extra something something they just threw in.

Michelle Malkin believe that we just might not be getting full value for our money and is pressing her FOIA requests for all the pictures and the documents surrounding them. My guess is that she’ll get her request whenever the administration feels like getting around to it. “Constituent services” doesn’t seem like much of a deal to the President unless you’re a prized Democratic donor group.

I’m at a loss as to why the review has taken this long except to say that it’s apparent that the White House is as inept at managing its employees as it is at knowing the minds of the average Manhattanite. It’s just more of the stunning intellectual prowess from The Smartest President Evar.

I’m beginning to think, though, that his IQ was vastly overrated. I demand a recount.

Simple embarrassment. Jimmie – I quote Wiki here: "Professional or official embarrassment is often accompanied by public expressions of anger, denial of involvement, or attempts to minimize the consequences. Sometimes the embarrassed entity will issue press statements, remove or distance themselves from sub-level employees, attempt to carry on as if nothing happened, suffer income loss, emigrate, or completely vanish from public view."

I kind of like that last option. Could the President maybe "vanish from public view" for a little while?

Alternately, there really isn't anything wrong with saying, "Wow, we really messed that up, didn't we? It was a complete brain freeze and we are very sorry to the entire city of New York. Here. Everybody have a tax cut".

I vote for vanish from public view for a little while….sheesh, has any president spent more time in my living room than this one? No. I would welcome the break.

    Most transparent presidency EVAH!!

Have we found out who is responsible yet?

The President did help thousands of New Yorkers found out what the 'Brown Note' sounded like..

A whooshing jet engine flying low to the ground.

It's it common practice to assume a president isn't responsible for anything before September 12 of the first term of a presidency? After all, the last president couldn't possibly be held responsible for any action that might of occurred on the day before, could he?

But on this one, it's pure BS. This was planned by the previous presidents' staff and Obama's fault here is in not firing them soon enough. And I do fault him in this. Anyone who ever worked for Bush should be immediately fired. And some of them should be shot, too.
