“For everything else, there’s government”
From Duane Lester comes this priceless post from Fausta. I’m pretty sure you will laugh.
On a related note, it’s been almost three days since the Obama administration scared the bejeezus out of the largest city in the United States. No one has been fired yet. The President has ordered a review of the situation, but I don’t see why it should take two days to investigate. I could have done it in ten minutes.
Me: Did you authorize that flight over New York?
Obama Appointee: Yes.
Me: You’re fired. Who is your boss?
Obama Appointee: *names next incompetent bureaucrat*
Me: Send him in.
Okay, that probably wouldn’t take ten minutes. It’d probably take a half-hour as I fired my way up the chain of command.
It’s worth remembering that the President who can’t fire an employee who already confessed to authorizing the flight wants to run two car companies, the entire banking industry, and provide your health care. Imagine how long it’ll take for your to get help in an Obama-run emergency room. Assuming you have a working automobile to get you there.

Thanks for the mention, Jimmie. Fausta's post really nailed it.
If you haven't seen how this fly-over impacted the people of New York, visit Fausta's blog and watch the videos. People were running int he streets, buildings were emptying…it was scary as anything for them.
This is just another example of bad judgment in an administration full of incompetents.
What I couldn't believe is how the news was reporting that he apologized then would show that clip where he is explaining how he found out the same time the rest of us did and it won't happen again. He could not have cared less. And his attitude is like "don't worry, we are taking care of it". And the press is like "oh, okay Barry – we still love you!!" Like they don't even notice that he is a first class jerk.
You guys are overreacting. You're basing your whole view of this on the local media reports, which were overblown and hyperbolic (surprise, surprise). The percentage of people who freaked out about this was incredibly small.
The military knew about it, the NYPD knew about it, and if they forgot to tell Bloomberg, that's hardy Obama's fault.
Whiny pussies.
Actually, I'm basing my view of video footage and firsthand accounts from New York residents.
Whether you believe they should have panicked or whether the number was acceptably small is a matter of opinion. What is beyond dispute is that the administrations stunt caused undue disruption to the largest city in the country and no one has been fired.
