Do Her. Dose Her. Ditch Her.
Wednesday’s FDA decision to allow juveniles to get the “morning after” pill without a prescription strikes me as one of the most depraived things our government has ever done. It smacks of eugenics, something much-beloved by progressives for a very long time. Stacy McCain sums up my feelings pretty darned well:
Who cares that she’s not even old enough to buy a pack of cigarettes legally? Get her drunk on wine coolers, get what you want, then the next morning, take her to CVS to get Plan B and make sure there’s no chance the slut will show up in a few months talking child support payments and DNA tests.
Actually, in this example, it’s likely that the man would get in worse trouble for serving alcohol to a minor than in getting her that pill.
I would like to note this gem of a quote from the news story.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America President Cecile Richards said in a statement that the FDA’s announcement is “a strong statement to American women that their health comes before politics. And that’s the way it should be. This decision is common-sense policy that will help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and protect the health and safety of all women.”
Several million unborn human beings were unavailable for comment.
UPDATE: The eugenics movement big money abortion industry is getting its money’s worth out of this administration, no?
UPDATE 2: Monique Stewart hits why it’s so necessary to the left for minors to be able to get the EZ Aborto-Pill without a prescription.
The beauty of a prescription being required is that it might actually involve some parental guidance. That is why this judge is against it. They want to detach children from their parents social mores.
Also, let me just say that “Kids are going to have sex anyhow” is, without a doubt, the stupidest argument I have ever heard in my life and I am including “This is an unsinkable boat!”.
UPDATE 3: Want to get the attention of Andrew “Walking Ball of Illogic” Sullivan”? Stacy shows you how.

The three D's replacing the four F's..
Well, Dave, modern society has gotten more efficient. Soon, we'll make the old "Pump and Dump" the norm. I'm not quite sure how we can boil it down farther.
Ha! The "Four F's" — hadn't even thought of that one in years, Dave. What's weird is how these "enlightened" and "responsible" people seem to have utterly forgotten what teenage boys are like. Maybe it's because they were nerds or something.
They know very well what teenage boys are like, Stacy. They just claim that there is no way in the world that we can curb their raging hormones, so we might as well not even try. It's incredibly bad reasoning, but there it is.
On the other hand, the same folks claim that we can stop corporate greed with the suitable application of government power.
[...] Bise sums up the benefit to selfish teenage boys, “Do her. Dose her. Ditch her,” and also notes: “Several million unborn human beings were unavailable for [...]
So Jimmie.
Is it that we can curb raging hormones and stop corporate greed with government power?
Or is it that we can't stop raging hormones or corporate greed with government power?
If the positions the left takes are contradictory, then, by definition, the opposite ones you take are, too.
Actually, you can curb both impulses two ways. First, you can bring social stigmas to bear. Second, you can channel those energies into better directions. Neither require government power.
See, I don't believe that government is the answer to most questions, which is why my positions are far better than those of the left.
