Democrat Who Voted to Lift Drilling Ban Threatens Civil War If Ban Isn’t Reinstated
Hey, bring it on, Granola Boy.
The moratorium on offshore oil drilling “will be reinstated,” Inslee told CNSNews.com, but he did not specify whether he meant the executive branch moratorium or the one from the Interior Department.
“One way or the other, it will be reinstated,” said Inslee. “One way or the other, by any means necessary.
“We are off the Pacific coast, and there would be a civil war,” said Inslee. “There would be something like a secessionist movement if there was a serious attempt to [permanently] remove the moratorium.”
Hmm…one state full of patchouli-soaked, Starbucks-drinking, hybrid-driving, grunge-listening, granola-eating sandal-wearers versus the rest of the country? How would that turn out, do you think?
Rep. Inslee might want to rethink his position, especially given that his claim to the areas opened for drilling is pretty tenuous. Not only does Washington have a rather large exclusion area where drilling is still not allowed but also, as with the legislation passed to cover Atlantic states late last year, Washington State could elect not to drill in the 50-100 mile offshore zone it still controls.
I’ll also point out that when the ban came up in September, Rep. Inslee voted to lift it. It’s obvious that his statements aren’t serious, else he’s not just a blowhard but a hypocrite. He’s just playing the preening popinjay for someone. I wonder who?

Hey! I live in that state. We aren't all that way but we are in a huge minority. At least we've got some tea parties planned.
You may end up being the behind-the-lines resistance. Remember, hempen clothing and sandals make excellent camouflage!
Oh dear Lord… I hadn't heard about this. Jay's a pretty good guy, but a total fool when it comes to politics. I mean, think about it: His light is hidden behind the glow of Patty Murray. Wow, huh?
I'll have to call Insee's office about this one. He can leave if he wants, but we're the State that started the mass protests against Hillary's health care bus tour, we had one of the first Tea Parties. As a Conservative, I'm in the minority out here, but our minority can get pretty noisy 'nStuff.
