Well here’s a shocker.

Each of the sponsors of the Card Check bill got $1.7 million in contributions from labor unions since 1989. Tom Harkin, who introduced the bill in the Senate got more union money than any other Senator over the past twenty years. His counterpart in the House, George Miller, was 21st on the list of labor largesse.

You can bet that the labor unions are spending that money with the expectation that they will get a return on their investment. I imagine tens of thousands (or more) more new union members would bring quite the nice chunk of change.
