Tea Party Rallies are Breaking Out Everywhere!
Folks all across America are getting together tomorrow to protest the stimulus bill by holding their own Tea Party Rallies. There are plenty of cities where you can find a rally tomorrow, so hit the link and join up with your fellow fed-up friends and neighbors. Here’s a little video that TCOT-TV put together to give you the scoop.
I’m rather proud of this video for personal reasons. One of the coordinators of TCOT-TV asked me to help them put this together and I was able to write the script and do the voice-over narration. I hope to do more for them in the future. I don’t think it’s bad at all for a first effort!

The idea of the original Tea Party was a revolt against taxation without representation. The only Americans who can claim that is happening to them are the residents of DC. The rest of you had your chance to vote, and you lost. You lost because people didn't like your ideas. Protest all you want, I'll support your right to do so with all of my heart. But if you want a real voice, win an election. To do that, you can start by doing the opposite of the recommendations of the CPAC conference.
You are, again, wrong, man. You're paying to bail out state debts that were incurred without your consent or participation. That is "taxation without representation".
"You’re paying to bail out state debts that were incurred without your consent or participation."
In a sense, that is true, we in Colorado get far less funding than we pay in federal taxes. We are always subsidizing Alabama and Mississippi. We should be able to vote in their elections because they obviously can't run their states in a responsible manner. But here's an interesting thing, have you ever noticed how the Red states are constantly in need of subsidy while the Blue states are constantly paying for it? Is it possible that conservative policies only work with subsidies? And is it possible that liberal policies work so well that we always have money on hand to give to other states? When the Red states start subsidizing the Blue states, you'll have an argument. But that day is obviously very far in the future.
What, you mean the red states of California, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania?
Keep working on that theory. It needs some facts.
"What, you mean the red states of California, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania?"
You're right about Pennsylvania and Maryland, they are the rare Blue States that actually get subsidized. Pennsylvania gets about $1.07 back for every dollar they give. Maryland gets $1.30. It's nothing like the subsidy Alabama gets, but it's still a subsidy. California and New Jersey pay much more to the federal government than they get back. Complain all you want about California, but they give a $1.30 for every dollar they get back. And they create a whole lot of things you like. You know the computer you type on? That came from California. Yeah, it's probably made in China, but the technology came from California. What's Alabama given us? They get about a $1.70 back for every tax dollar they give. But they are slackers compared to Alaska. Your favorite politician, Sarah Palin, takes in a $1.84 for every tax dollar sent to the Feds. Only Mississippi and New Mexico get bigger handouts.
So check this out:

Tell me how Republicans don't need to subsidized. Trust me, I'd really like to stop subsidizing Republicans. But let's face it, they need it.
Oh, and guess what? You thought New Jersey was a deadweight, think again. They are the state that most heavily subsidizes Red states. They have to pay $1.61 to get a dollar back. These are the numbers, you cannot deny them. It is true that some Blue states (like Maryland) get subsidized, but the Red states are much more heavily subsidized. That's just the facts. Put whatever spin on it, but the numbers are real.
What I'd like to see is a concept where the federal government basically returned our tax revenue to us. Instead of getting 81 cents, I'd like to get the full dollar. But the people in the Red states surely wouldn't like it. They'd have to pay their own way, and they don't know how to do that. But hey, once they get their truck fixed, they'll be ready to go.
"It needs some facts."
Well, I just gave them to you. So tell me why I should give money to Sarah Palin. Granted, her state can't produce the kind of energy resources we in Colorado can. But she can put up some windmills, too. I'm already giving her the money, so let's see some results. I already see the pretty dresses she wears, but let's see some windmills in Alaska. Is my money only going towards the governor's fashion sense? Or can I get some real results from the subsidies I give you?
Actually, her state is producing more energy than Colorado and can produce even more if Democrats would accede to the will of the Alaskan people regarding their own resources.
Facts. You need some.
Ok, fostert. Please remove all interstate highway sections, all military installations, all federally owner public lands, preserves and parks from the red states.
Then let's talk.

So you know how you are always telling us we conservatives should just take the money you warm-hearted liberals are offering us? And how you tell us that we are too stupid to know what is good for us; YOU have the money and WE need the help, etc.???
And then when we try to explain we don't want your stinking tax credits or welfare because you are all fascist pigs who only want to give us the money so you can feel free to keep a boot on our necks?
Well, this is exactly what we're been talking about….
Also known as "He who pays the piper calls the tune".
You know…like when you still live with Mom and Dad, they get to tell you what time you need to be home? And if you don't like that, you get to move out and pay your own bills?
So keep your stinking tax credits and welfare – and get your xxxx boot off our necks.
Fostert – I voted. As you noted I lost. I am not joining these rallies to protest losing an election. I am protesting the fact that my social contract has changed so drastically that I feel this country is no longer balanced. My social contract changed and I wasn't given any chance to negotiate it. One party rule is not working. I am a moderate and understand that there is give and take in politics. Barack "My Bad" Obama does not seem to understand this. The President of the United States having the power to ensure that a CEO of a private company is fired is frightening. This must stop.
The most liberal states are in the most trouble financially, mainly because they are the larger states most influenced by federal policy. But its not about left or right republican or democrat, please break this paradime that only keeps us fighting instead of seeing the real crooks. Both parties are now run by the same group of international banksters that dont represent any americans. That was the real intent of the tea party, not the fake reasons given by controlled media that is trying to distort and take over the movement.
No, it's not the international bankers, either. That was a fiction when it was first invented as a ruse to bash Jews. come to think of it, it's still used that way.
I'm a 14 year old girl, and I cannot afford to pay the liberals taxes when I start to make income.
