No, I Didn’t Watch the Speech. But I Know People Who Did.

I didn’t watch President Obama’s State of the Glorious Workers’ Paradise speech last night. I was busy watching the Caps give up three goals in the third period to drop another game to the hated Flyers.

However, some other folks did so I’ll link to them.

Stephen Green was manning his blog and the bottle, which is probably the best thing to do for the next four years’ worth of speeches of stuff like this:

7:46PM Government health care will be paid for in part by government “efficiencies.” Which is like treating your nasty case of syphilis by having unprotected sex with anyone willing to take five dollars.

Stacy McCain was patrolling the rough alleys of Twitter last night and plucked out a couple gems, including one I had noticed and re-tweeted.

Blogger and Twitter friend Biased Girl also tuned in to the speech last night and earned a Hero of the Blogosphere, Second Class commendation for listening to the speech and paying attention to Nancy Pelosi at the same time.

Watching Nancy Pelosi smirk and sneer over Obama’s shoulder is mildly entertaining, however watching her eyes light up with glee when Obama discusses our slide into socialism, is unsettling…to say the least..
