Now he appears to be corrupt. But that's nothing new (especially in Illinois), he was always corrupt and most liberal blog posts already called him on it from day one. It's nice to see the conservative blogs agreeing, but it's really stupid. We wanted Burris to be taken down the day he was appointed. Now you've gotten on the bandwagon. That's nice. But it means nothing. The Senate will now have to denigrate themselves by having to remove him, which should have been done before he was a member. I have doubts that they will do it. They are the world's most exclusive club, after all. Until the entire membership stands in font of the capital totally naked for a group picture, it ain't happening. And that ain't happening. Burris knows damn well that Reid doesn't want him in the Senate. But until Burris gives up, there's really nothing anyone can do. The Senate rules say that you can be removed only for conduct unbecoming of a Senator, but that's really low bar. Raping children doesn't rise above that bar and never has. But the standards have always been completely arbitrary, so there's no reason we can't apply arbitrary standards now. He needs to be removed.
But let's take out Vitter along with him. If we are going to take out Senators for bad behavior, then let's take them all out. Look, I'm guilty of what Vitter did with two exceptions. First, I'm not married, so I never said I would not do such things. Second, I have never said that such things are immoral. Now, you cannot convict someone of infidelity. He does in fact have a right to screw any women/man/other he wants. So he's okay on that, but it doesn't really work with the family values thing, does, it? But to pay someone for that is a crime. It's crime that I think should be abolished, but a crime anyway. It's a crime he thinks should be enforced, yet he commits it, anyway. That's as wrong as it gets. And he committed it in his own district. He didn't just got to Vegas where it's legal, he violated his own laws. When I have committed such indecencies, I've done it other countries in compliance with the local laws and customs. Vitter has broken laws and violated his own laws and his wife. I have done neither. Yet I am considered to be a bad person and Sen Vitter is considered an epitome of conservative philosophy. No worries, I am even remotely concerned about what you might think of me. I have never had any intention of abiding by your moral standards. I just abide by the world's standards. And cheating on your wife is not one of those standards. It is considered normal in Republican philosophy, but I'm not a Republican. If I had a wife, I wouldn't do that. That's the menaining of marriage, isn't it? I choose not to be married so that I don't denigrate the concept. But Vitter doesn't believe that, does he? He will denigrate marriage and violate the law at the same time. And shortly after he wipes the semen and vaginal fluid off his penis, he will stand in front of people and tell them how to live their sexual lives. That's beautiful irony, but it it's not exactly something you can believe in. I'm fine with his life, but I'm not fine with him telling me that I can't have his life. I want his life, and he can't tell me I can't have it.

Burris is an idiot. That alone should have ended his candidacy. But it didn't.
