What Happened to the President’s Economic Emergency?
Remember all that running around and screaming the Dems and the MSM did last week because Republicans wanted to slow down and read the Congressional Vote-Buying Act. They told us that the bill had to be passed before Friday because we were in a state of dire emergency and that any delay, even to read the bill and deliberate on its contents like responsible citizens, would be ruinous.
Yeah, well, apparently the President, who was fanning the flames of panic as hard as anyone, doesn’t think it’s such a big deal now. He won’t be signing the bill until Tuesday. He had better things to do, like go away for the weekend with his wife and give his staff a few days to stage an elaborate signing ceremony in Colorado. Thus far, I’ve seen no real criticism from his pals in the MSM for what sure looks like a cavalier attitude toward a crisis that he said demanded immediate action.
That must have been one heck of a bill, to have calmed the economy so much that the President can knock off for a vacation for three days without actually signing it.
