If you’re not familiar with the old saying “Do as I say, not as I do”, you might as well start getting familiar with it now. We’ll be seeing a lot of it for the next four years.
I expect that the President’s reason for for giving us the same “because I said so” treatment that most of us got a thousand times or so as kids is because of his progressive ideology. To the progressive mind, government is our Mommy and we’re the children who need to be protected, corrected, and molded into correct and productive citizens by our betters who run the government. He doesn’t have to live by his own rules because the rules aren’t for him. He’s already attained the proper level of superiority. The rules are for us because we have not.

I saw this yesterday and was seething!!! I’m sitting here in Missouri freezing my ass off because we can’t afford to put the thermostat any higher than 67. Screw you Obama.
I feel the same way, his superiority allows him better stuff, like all dictators. Same as lecturing Wall Street guys, while spending historically huge sums first in getting elected, then inagurated, and now for paybacks called a stimulus, and we are only a week and one half in.
Becky, the best part of his lecturing Wall Street execs yesterday was that, sitting right next to him, was a tax cheat and one of the few men who has a court-side view of the mortgage problems as they were developing!
