If Your Dad is a Democratic Congressman, Magic Just Happens!
Geez, Democrats, corrupt much?
A top House Republican is demanding an investigation into whether the more than $2 billion for national parks in the House stimulus package is proper in light of the fact that the chief lobbyist for the National Parks Conservation Association is the son of House Appropriations Committee Chairman David R. Obey.
The Senate initially wanted to shovel about 800 million out the door for the parks, but Obey’s committee in the House jacked that up to about $2.25 billion dollars – a 200 percent increase. Obey’s gift to the parks, which has nothing at all to do with his son’s position, of course – is nearly equal to the entire yearly budget of the National Park Service that has already appropriated by Congress.
I note that not a single Republican voted to approve the bill in which Obey’s “not a gift to his son” appears.
Both Obey and the NPRC are denying that there is any connection between Little Lobbyist Obey’s position and his dad’s granting every wish on their list. No, of course there wasn’t. It was a gift of fairy magic and pixie dust that just happened.

While I do agree the Parks Service does need some money, they should get their cut along with everyone else during the Budget debate every year.
Even though various agencies are listed as getting money from this stinker of a bill, the Community Organizer(PIMP) and his Whores will control who actually gets the funds.
Problem is, they've already gotten their money. This extra $2.5 billion is in addition to the yearly budget they already have!
