Well, that’s it, folks. The Muslims are going to lay down their arms and give us all hugs! President Obama has fixed the whole thing with his magical words of friendship!
President Barack Obama presented a humble and conciliatory face of America to the Islamic world Monday in the first formal interview since he assumed office, stressing his own Muslim ties and hopes for a Palestinian state, and avoiding a belligerent tone — even when asked if America could “live with” an Iranian nuclear weapon.

“I have Muslim members of my family. I have lived in Muslim countries,” Obama said, according to a White House transcript. “My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy.”
Well, crap, Why didn’t we think of this stunningly clever strategy before? I mean, we spent hundreds of billions of dollars rebuilding two Muslim countries, assigned a person just for diplomacy with Muslims, and hosted official celebrations of Muslim holidays at the White House. You mean all we really had to do was tell them that we weren’t their enemy and that would make us “humble and conciliatory”?
Well, I guess so. I mean, it’s not like this President has engaged in vicious warmongering, the indiscriminate killing of innocent Muslim civilians, or failed to ban the torture that is illegal anyhow and has made us hated around the world. That would have been the last president, Chimpy McEvilHitlerBurton. Today is a new day and our rainbows and unicorns of love and light are sure to bring those Islamist head-choppers, hate-filled Imams, and bloodthirsty tyrants right on over to our side. And apparently that’s all we ever needed to do all along.
Damn. That Barack Obama is one deucedly clever man!
Though I do have a question. When did it suddenly become okay to bring up the President’s Muslim background? I distinctly remember people getting pilloried and poked with many sharp sticks for bringing up his Muslim roots. No one was allowed to put the word “Hussein” anywhere near “Barack Obama” lest they be damned as a peddler of lies and slander. His Muslim background really didn’t matter he and his campgin told us repeatedly. Indeed, we were told there was no real Muslim background there at all. That was all incidental contact, as the NFL would say.
Now, he’s the scion of a Muslim family who has lived in many Muslim nations. Heck, he might as well have ridden in like Barry of Al-Arabiya for all the Muslim cred he was throwing around that interview.
It’s amazing how much changes after an election, even years of history and a man’s entire family tree.

You have managed to capture the Raw hypocricy coming out of the Obama people already. This muslim thing is killing me. I can’t believe that now he’s related to half the Muslim world, when just a few short months ago, it was considered “Hatemonger” to even Say his middle name.

You have to remember that change, by definition, changes! What’s said today won’t be true tomorrow and change will always be the reason we’re given.

Yes indeed. It’s quite fine for the President to use his middle name or family lineage when it suits his conciliatory agenda. It’s another thing entirely for it to be mentioned by any conservative folks. I am convinced: the islamists will too adore “the One” and stop their unruly behavior. Rubbish!
I’m just waiting until the muslims state the obvious – he was born muslim because his father was muslim. He was raised muslim – at least until he was 10, but that’s nearly adulthood in the muslim world. Old enough for girls to be married, in any case. Which makes him apostate, since he converted to Christianity (we assume, since he has told us so) and apostates are subject to death.
That is, unless they consider that the Christianity thing is just a part of taqiyya so he could get elected. Guess we’ll find out about that later…
If they _don’t_ threaten him with death because he’s apostate, then they believe that the Christianity thing is fake.
I’m sure that Obama’s now warm and fuzzy relationship with the Clintons has enlightened him to the fact that democrats are truly dynamic in their beliefs. What they said,or did, yesterday has absolutely no bearing on their beliefs today.

Early last year Michelle Obama was interviewed by a Female reporter(Might be Walters)on a TV interview. Michelle Obama said (Quote)We are proud to be a Muslim Family(Unquote).
The interview ran a couple of times and was suddenly buried. Obama became a Christian all of a sudden. Then Obama talks about a Great Pastor he has had for 20 years. He talks about all of the great sermon’s he’d always heard from this Pastor.
Well it seems Obama never did his homework of checking the background of this Pastor OR he(Obama) either agrees with this Pastor OR always slept in the pews.
