The Leader is Vexed

Looks like someone struck a nerve.

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he [President Barack Obama] told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.

“There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats,” the official said. “We shouldn’t let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done.”

This is good news for the right. It means that a leading influence-maker among conservatives is on the President’s radar screen and that he considers Rush important enough to lob out a response. Granted, the response wasn’t terribly coherent, as bs points out on RedState, but it was still a response.

The next step is to move his response from sputtering annoyance to a small measure of thoughtful consideration. There is much conservatives can do to make Barack Obama’s administration very successful and we should be reminding him of that. Remember, conservatives don’t much care who gets the credit, so long as successful conservative principles rule the day.

Nice post, Jimmie! Go el-Rushbo! Can we persuade POTUS, aka that One, of the viability of a conservative world-view? Perhaps.

What's really stupid though, is the republicans don't listen to Rush. And whether they do or don't, it is demeaning that Barry and other leftards always think conservative ideas are a result of some kind of brainwashing. It would be the equivalent of republicans telling the leftists, look, if we are ever going to come to a reasonable, workable solution, you're going to have to throw out you're Communist Manifesto handbook.

That's the problem with these idiots whose egos need a state of their own just to hold it….and it was the same with John McCain as it is with Barack. Basically, what he's saying is "I am the center of the universe & anyone who doesn't agree with me is a bitter partisan."
