Caroline Kennedy Withdraws After Realizing She’d Actually Have to Do Some Work
Caroline Kennedy has told Gov. David Paterson that she is withdrawing her name from consideration to replace outgoing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the U.S. Senate, The Post has learned.
Kennedy cited “personal reasons,” according to sources.
My guess is that she finally figured out that as a Senator she’d actually have to hit a lick for the very first time in her life. That would have broken her string of jobs where she could just show up, give a speech (or shake a few hands or sign off on some poems), collect her check, then go home.
She really dodged a bullet there!

Hee! I prefer to think of her withdrawal as a sign that pointing out absurdity with regard to "inherited" political positions is a winning strategy. But you can go with that non-work thing, too. Either way, I'll take it.
I thought, you know, maybe it was because, you know, she, uh, didn't like people, you know, saying really, really, you know, mean things, you know, about her. If you know what I mean.
We lost the chance for a champion filibusterer.
Maybe she figured out she was more famous & loved when no one knew anything about her.
