It is any wonder that Maryland is nearly two billion dollars in debt with clowns like State Senator Lisa Gladden running things? She was asked about Barack Obama’s inauguration (Gladded was an Obama delegate to the DNC) and replied by showing off her oversized Obama watch and gushing:
“It doesn’t matter that the State of Maryland is broke, as long as Barack Obama is President of the United States. This is great.”
Gladden is one of the professional incompetents who has ensured that my state is broke. She is not merely a member of the Senate but the Majority Whip, one of the leaders of the Democratic Party. Thanks to her, the government of the state has ballooned to unsustainable levels, meaning that lots of folks are going to be unemployed very soon and you’ll likely be paying for her mistakes, even if you don’t live here.
This isn’t the first time that Gladden has shown herself a partisan stooge. She first caught my attention when she defended vicious racist attacks on Michael Steele when he ran for governor with the surprisingly candid statement that “party trumps race”. RedMaryland has a couple more examples of Gladden’s muddled thinking.
She’s another reason that we need conservative citizen-legislators like Ron Miller in Annapolis.
