That is my thought about bringing any terrorist to this country. Its a stupid idea. Osama...hopefully, if found, will already be dead. I can't imagine the chaos in this country if he were found alive & brought here. Never mind all of the people who would side with him & the lawyers who would be lining up to defend him.

I agree suek…and not just being a target for the terrorists, but they will kidnap people & try to bargain with them. The problem has always been - as I see it - what to do with the man if you actually did catch him alive. What evidence is there that proves his links to the terrorists, and his responsibility for planning the action? Sure he's said he's responsible, but get him into a court of law with capable lawyers? My guess would be that most of the evidence would be tossed. Then think about _where_ a trial would be held. In the US? What would be the jurisdictional district? Guantanamo? Sure it would! Think maybe it would end up being held in the World Court? Think he'd get a death penalty even if he were found guilty? I don't. Where would be be imprisoned? Gtmo? You can guess how _that_ would fly! What country in their right mind would want to be a target for every Al Qaeda member still alive trying to free their leader? Personally, I'd treat him like the Man Without a Country and never let his feet touch dry land again...but that's just me. Actually, if it were up to me, if we actually did catch him alive, I'd be in favor of hooking up to a heliocopter, flying him out about 200 miles from any land, and dropping him into the ocean. With cement shoes, preferably.
Just thoughts that have come to mind in this long long discussion!

Osama says he won't be captured alive.
