Time to Replace the Redistributionist Republican Leadership

You would have thought that the Republican leadership might have learned a thing or two about spending bazillions of our dollars from their embarassing defeats of the last election.

Nope. They didn’t learn a damned thing.

Right now, GOP leaders in the House and Senate aren’t set to fight the Democratic pork-filled, already-failed stimulus bill. They’ve already accepted the fiction that government spending can reverse a recession and they’re only quibble is the size of the spending spree.

Mitch McConnell and John Boehner have, as of today, forfeited their right to speak for anyone who is even the slightest bit fiscally-responsible. In agreeing to a stimulus bill that won’t ever be smaller than a trillion dollars, they have sided with Barack Obama and the rest of the progressives who believe that the best way to help Americans is to force them to spend their money on government-approved projects in government-approved ways.

If you know how to balance a checkbook and understand that the robbing your neighbors is not the way to solve your own financial crisis, you are more qualified to lead the Republicans than Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.

It’s time for them to go, not just out of the GOP leadership, but out of Congress altogether. They are a big reason why Republicans are in the minority and why America is in the financial mess we’re in right now.
