Yesterday, I noticed that my blog traffic was up by a third. I checked my Word Press stats and I found a couple interesting things: four of the six most-viewed blog posts were about Helen Jones-Kelley, and seven of the top nine search terms driving traffic to my blog involved Helen Jones-Kelley. Aside from some derivation of “Sarah Palin naked”, Helen Jones-Kelley has been the top subject that has driven outside traffic here for the past six months.
A smart GOP strategist might send a few e-mails around to some much bigger bloggers to see if they’re seeing the same thing as I. I suspect they are.
What Helen Jones-Kelley did to Joe Wurzelbacher was unconscionable, but more importantly, it was emblematic of the way the Democratic party does business. No simple plumber must come between them and their political goals and if they have to invade his privacy and smear him publicly, that’s exactly what they’ll do. This isn’t a new story. Just look at what happened to Linda Tripp, the poor folks in the White House travel office, or Jack Ryan in Illinois just a couple years ago. You, as an average citizen, are entirely disposable to progressives and they will not hesitate for one second to grind you under thier heels if you get between them and their utopian dreams. The GOP needs to spread the message far and wide that what happened to Joe can happen just as easily to you, if you step out of your role as helpless drone incapable of living your life without the controlling hand of the Democratic Party.
Helen Jones-Kelley ought to be the poster child of every Republican candidate in 2010. She is the anti-conservative, the enemy of personal freedom and the perfect emblem of just how quickly the nanny state can turn from June Cleaver to Mommy Dearest.
