The White House’s Official Church is the Church of Global Warming
President-Elect Obama has named the enviromental part of his cabinet and the only thing they have in common is that they’re all fully-fledged members of the Church of Global Warming who are all about using government power to solve the alleged “crisis”. It seems that contra the First Amendment, we will have a state religion that won’t require tithes. All the money it needs will be extracted from us by taxation and government mandates on carbon emissions. Don’t worry. Worship will be easy since “denial” won’t be allowed.
I’m also looking askance at this Nancy Sutley, the nominee to head the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality, whose main qualification appears to be that she’s a lesbian with good political connections. I note that she’s currently the Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles which, last I checked, wasn’t exactly a garden spot of healthy environmental quality, which doesn’t give he great hopes as to her competence. If a CoGW member can’t make big changes in California, where else can she succeed?
UPDATE: Make that a World Church. The head of the UN says we need a “Green New Deal”. Oh sure, why not? All those billions of people already in poverty don’t need to get out of it anything this century, right? Let them eat Mud Cakes!
