Anyone Remember Miguel Estrada? Hispanic Democrats in Congress Don’t

| December 3, 2008 | Comments (1)

It’s a shame the Democratic Party isn’t a touch less racist. If it was, then the Congressional Hispanic Caucus wouldn’t be stumping quite as hard for more Hispanic government appointees from Barack Obama. They would have already had a Hispanic Supreme Court Justice.

But, as we learned thanks to leaked memos, Ted Kennedy, Dick Durbin, and the Democratic interest groups who demanded their attention simply couldn’t abide having a conservative Hispanic supreme Court Justice. Oh, the white guys Alito and Roberts were fine. Just not Estrada.

Perhaps they should ask Senators Kennedy and Durbin why a man named Miguel deserved their enmity while guys named Samuel and John skated through with nary a second glance beore they start demanding more from Barack Obama.
