We’re Not Dead Yet, But We Are Sucking Wind.

Says Ace: “Sometimes the rhetorical question, “Well, how bad could it be?” can only be answered by non-rhetorical experience.”
We are about to find out the answer to that question and, as I’ve said before, the Buyer’s Remorse will be terrible.
Conservatives, are you paying attention? In two years, America is going to be desperate for an answer to the manifest incompetence of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Obama cronies, and the serial failures who will compose the Obama cabinet. The country is going to be in really rough shape and it will be in no mood to hear the faux Democratic, big government mush that the party had shoveled toward it for the past four years.
America is going to be looking for inspiration and leadership. Conservatives had better be ready to provide both in spades.
Read all of Ace’s comments, and the article to which he links. I don’t think that America as the last, best hope for liberty and real liberalism in the world is lost, but it’s close. It’s very close.

I was thinking this morning - what will happen the first time Nancy Pelosi has a meeting with President Obama about some policy he was forced to support that was counter to her desire? After all, she must be seething to have to call one of the most Junior members of the Senate “Mr. President”.
I am just curious who the wake-up call is going to be for.

Joel, I think the first 18 months of this Presidency is going to be very interesting. There is going to be bureaucratic jockeying between branches and among agencies that’ll make the chariot race from Ben Hur look like a Merry Go Round.
