Well, here’s a heck of an idea for making a few bones, from James Lileks at his spiffy new screedblog site.
I’m off to the Mall to sell razor blades so people can scrape off their “Question Authority” bumper stickers. Just remember: Dissent is still the highest form of patriotism. Except now it will be practiced by the lowest form of people.
And if you can grab a few dozen of those bumper stickers, you might find that there’s a whole untapped market for them among your right-leaning friends. Alternately, you could just make up your own. We Loyal Opposers will need our ready supply of hip phrases to show just how patriotic we are in the New Changified America. You can’t have this one, though. It’s mine already.
