</blockquote>
This is the logic of an immature child. Iraq spending is emergency spending. There is no reason to match, dollar for dollar, in the cause of your choice just because dollars were spent else-where that you obviously don't agree with. Look how much money was spent in Louisian on Katrina? Should the rest of the states demand thier fair share? Look how much aid we send to Africa...is that unfair when we don't match those dollars to other countries who are not having a crisis but could still probably make good use of the money? If you want to make the case for new highways or free college for everyone, than make it based on the need or benefit of that program. Don't base it on, but mommy...Iraq got billions of dollars & I didn't get any. Grow up!

But if we can spend money on Iraq and expect no returns, can’t we spend some money on ourselves and at least get some return?

This is the logic of an immature child. The amount of money to do that is less than what we're spending in Iraq right now. How do we get the money for that? Oh yeah, we borrow it. And that's not a good thing. But if we can spend money on Iraq and expect no returns, can't we spend some money on ourselves and at least get some return?

"Where is Barack Obama going to get the money to send everyone to college"

The amount of money to do that is less than what we're spending in Iraq right now.
