Originally Posted By Shelley MilesWe've been waiting for Senator McCain to talk about Senator Obama's failure to vote on so many issues as Senator from Illinois. Senator McCain needs to state precisely how many times Senator Obama voted "present," Which means nothing and in what short period of time as a senator he did that. How does that create "change" in Illinois? Now he wants to be president and is promising everything to be better. What did he do to make Illinois better and for that matter, Chicago, when he voted "present" so many times? That means that you do not have to know the issue because you are essentially taking a "pass" on the issue. How many issues will he take a "pass" on if elected President? It's like someone who wants to be hired as captain of a ship, and take the ship out into the ocean, who has never been captain. Its easy to hide behind an outgoing President when you do not have anything to say about yourself that qualifies you to be President. How many times has Senator Obama voted against the military? That information needs to be spoken. He voted against the Gulf War, as did Senator Biden. That is enough to show that he is anti-military and anti-defense. Do Americans really want someone who is so anti-military. I have also heard that he voted against spending more for law enforcement in Chicago. The specifics of that would have to be investigated, but it certainlt does not sound like what Chicago needs. Lastly, Senator McCain needs to say these things and not give them to Sarah Palin to say.
