Barack the “Control Rod” Socialist

Here’s a little reminder of the fateful answer that Barack Obama’s Thugocracy desperately wants you to forget.

It’s not that I want to punish your success. I want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success, too. My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.

Unpack the implications of that paragraph. Barack Obama wants to reserve for himself, and only for himself, the ability to decide what “a chance for success” is. He believes that if you are successful, then you have prevented everyone behind you from being successful. He wants to take what you have worked very hard to earn and give it to someone else, at his whim.

There’s something else in there, though that I think needs to be pointed out a lot more. Barack Obama was right about one thing. It is good when we spread the wealth around. When we move our money through the economy, it’s good for everyone. You might remember that from the booming 1980s as the guiding principle behind “trickle-down economics” and it turned out to be very good for our country, rich and poor alike. When we spend the fruits of our labor as we see fit, that money flows through the economy and enriches everyone it touches.

So while it is good when you spread the wealth around, it’s bad when he spreads your wealth around. What he said to Plumber Joe was deceptive. He has no intention on letting you spread your wealth. Obama believes he can do better than you by taking your money, laundering it through the government, then putting it into the economy where he thinks it should go in the amounts he thinks are correct.

The government has never made an economy better anywhere but getting more involved with it. Governments have the same effect on our economy as control rods have on the core of a nuclear reactor. The more you push the rods into the core, the fewer reactions you have there because the rods soak up electrons that could be involved in the reactions. Similarly, when government intrudes more into an economy, it soaks up dollars that could be going to store owners and mechanics and builders and even plumbers.

Barack Obama wants to jam the control rods of government as far into our economy as they’ll go so they’ll soak up every possible dollar. Then he’ll distribute those dollars, not to help the economy, but to buy votes for his reelection campaign just as he’s used the hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks he’s gotten in his scant few years in the US Senate to buy the support of people who will be undeniably harmed by his socialist ways.

Barack Obama is nothing more than a typical socialist and his answer to Joe Wurzelbacher revealed that very plainly. That’s why his thugs want us to forget it and why you should remember.
