Remember that story about the person who yelled “kill him” that made the MSM spazz out and led Congressman John Lewis to compare John McCain to a recist Democrat Governor? Dana Milbank, the Washington Post reporter who was once a favorite of Keith Olbermann until he breathed a word of disagreement against His Egoness and was kicked off the show forever reported that it happened and the remainder of the MSM and the Obama campaign ran with it like their pants were on fire. The entire narrative this week has been about the “atmosphere of hate” that John McCain and Sarah Palin have been fostering and how the slack-jawed yokels are one invective away from grabbing up the nearest black person and lynching them.
Meanwhile, the Secret Service, which has to work off of things like actual evidence, investigated the incident and guess what?
It didn’t happen. No one, including the agents who were at the rally, heard anyone yell “Kill him!”.
No one.
So now I’m waiting for some intrepid reporter to ask Milbank where he got his information. Did he hear this himself or did someone tell him that it happened? Did he ask anyone else to confirm what he allegedly heard? I imagine his answers would be quite interesting.
I’m also waiting for apologies from the Obama campaign for the outright slander they’ve hurled at John McCain and Sarah Palin. I’m waiting for John Lewis to come forward and say he’s sorry for likening McCain to a bigoted southern Democrat. I’m waiting for the flood of retractions from the MSM.
None of these will happen, but I can dream, can’t I?
