The Lies of Hollywood

| October 12, 2008 | Comments (2)

You know, I’m in the mood for a little red meat ranting against the leftist flibbertigibbets who make movies in Hollywood. I probably go to four movies a year, though I can afford to see more. The two biggest reasons I don’t are: 1) most movies being released are just awful and 2) I’m sick and tired of ponying up ten bucks for 90 minutes of entertainment only to have a ladle-full of left wing drek shoved down my throat.

Andrew Klavan has had enough of it himself and has taken to the pages of the Washington Post to put paid to the fictions of Hollywood. It’s a good read, especially if you feel about movies the way I do.

Hollywood used to be called the Dream Factory, but nowadays it seems to be grinding out as much propaganda as anything else. Next off the weary assembly line: Oliver Stone’s “W.,” which opens on Friday. If the trailer is any indication, this movie will depict our current president’s life as an evolution from drunken loser to dangerous idiot — and just in time for the election, too.

Hollywood moviemakers, in other words, have been telling lies — loudly, constantly and almost always in support of a left-wing point of view. And these lies are most prolific and tenacious when the Hollywood left is lying about itself.

Read it all. I think you’ll find yourself uplifted by knowing that you’re not alone.

I swore off movies a long time ago. (I still have a few old fav's that I pull out from time to time.) But I haven't seen a new movie in years for the same reason. Every one of them injects some kind of liberal slant into it & it just makes me mad. Why waste your money on that?

The W movie I'm guessing will bomb. If the ad's are any indication, they have made him almost cartoonish. I mean the left will love it still because that's what they see when they see Bush. (Just like whenever they hear Cheney's voice, they seem to hear growling & some other strange noises that I thought only dogs could pick up….LOL) So the movie feeds into that obsession, but not much play beyond that.

Sick of the liberal jabs in movies. Green Zone is blatant, we started a war in Iraq over fabricated information, blah, blah, blah. Sick of leftist Hollywood!
