Munching Down on the Democrats’ Fecal Feast
It looks like the Republican Coprophagics in Congress are going to munch down the Democrats’ s**t sandwich with gusto and beg for more.
I won’t go into any more details than I already have. If you can’t see how amazingly bad this bailout plan is and how far this takes us down the road to totalitarianism, nothing else I say will convince you. Suffice it to say, however, that in the absence of the $700 bill vote-buying scheme, the market seems to be sorting itself out the way it does. Meanwhile, that $700 billion is only the first taste. When the states start getting into the act, the amount is going to go through the roof (via memeorandum). We’ll long for a $700 billion dollar bill when this is all over.
Here, though, is a reminder that the people who say they have all the answers and are telling us what we must do are the ones who pushed us, very intentionally, into this mess. These are the people who believe that profits greater than they think are prudent are “undeserved”, who walk out of meeting and blab sensitive information to the media that results in a panicked run on insurance companies (putting goodness knows how many people out of work and damaging tens of thousands of retirement plans), and are trying to put billions of taxpayer dollars in the hands of people who despise this country and want it destroyed. It’s no coincidence that the people who caused this problem are right there in the middle of the “solution”. It’s what they wanted from the very beginning.
