Democratic Congressman Says that Hunters Don’t Care Whether They Shoot a Moose or a Black Person
Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.”
“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.
Okay, let’s do think this through. According to Alcee Hastings, hunters are racist killers who don’t care whether they shoot a moose, a Jew, or a black person.
Nice. Let’s hope that the millions of Americans who enjoy the legal and time-honored practice of hunting hear what this sterling representative of the Democratic Party thinks about them.

That is truly a stunning statement. Even worse though is the part where he says “If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,”
Has he even given a thought as to what problems Jewish voters might have with Barack? Never mind that there has been no reported violence of moose hunters against Jews or blacks…making his first statement verifiably false. Barack's ties & general popularity with people who want to slaughter all the Jews is verifiably true.
