I predict a run on bloody noses suffered by Obama supporters.

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he [Barack Obama] said.

“And if they tell you that, ‘Well, we’re not sure where he stands on guns.’ I want you to say, ‘He believes in the Second Amendment.’ If they tell you, ‘Well, he’s going to raise your taxes,’ you say, ‘No, he’s not, he’s going lower them.’ You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case.”

Notice that he doesn’t want his followers to convince or explain. He wants them to “argue”. He’s sending them out looking for a fight. I’m quite sure that’s what most of them are going to get. It’s a rough, rough world outside the warm tapioca fellowship of other Obamatarians.

I, for one, welcome the prospect of thousands of glassy-eyed Obama cultists supporters taking to the streets and hectoring their friends and family members. I mean, take your average Jehovah’s Witnesses, subtract the politeness, add some fairly intense hippie stench, and turn that loose at a family reunion. Yeah, that’s some good YouTube fodder right there.

What that ought to bring him thousands hundreds dozens tens a vote or two.

I would have one question for the newly anointed Disciples of Obama, though: Will you grant evangelical Christians the same ability to approach people and “get in their face” about the status of their immortal soul or do you reserve that right solely to those who follow your earthly Messiah?

Wait a sec– right before the “argue” part, he said

I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them…

Why does McCain keep claiming that Obama is gonna raise everybody’s taxes? Those who make less than a 1/4 million $ are gonna come out ahead, compared to M’s plan. That’s a lie worth refuting.

“Will you grant evangelical Christians the same ability to approach people and “get in their face” about the status of their immortal soul…?”
Who needs to be granted this ability beyond the 1st Amendment? Do xtians require “special rights”? You are really at your worst when making empty victimization claims.

  3. Jimmie says:

Well, he doesn’t say that. But a whole lot of people’s taxes will go up and not just the Monopoly Men in their top hats and monocles.

Say, for instance, a whole bunch of average Americans who run small businesses. their taxes are gogin to go up a lot.

As the the rest of your comment…you apparently didn’t stop and read what I actually wrote.

    The actual definition of argue:

    >> to give reasons for or against something : reason

    A secondary definition:

    >> to engage in a quarrel.

You assume the second definition based on your reading of the comments.
