Questions about Palin's experience have NOTHING to do with sexism or how tough she is. I personally questioned, and still do, Obama's fitness for the office for the same reason. More people should have questioned it but they were, and probably still are, afraid of being labeled racist if they do. The only reason that Obama is the Democratic nominee is because most liberals were afraid of being perceived as racist but were in fact sexist! Real sexism is what cost Hillary Clinton the nomination, since she is ridiculously more qualified than Obama and he purports to have extremely similar views. (Since he doesn’t have much of a record and has mislead or outright lied about background, I am not certain that he does have the same views, in fact, I doubt it.)

If Palin were applying for the job of VP of a company with as little experience as she has for the job, she wouldn’t even get a phone interview! Selecting her as a way of attracting women voters was a BIG mistake. Women do not want a woman in the office regardless of her views or qualifications. What they want is for qualified women with the same views and goals for the country to be considered on their merit and NOT because of their gender. Palin nomination is an insult and a disservice to all the qualified women. When an unqualified woman such as Palin is “promoted” beyond the level she deserves strictly because of her gender, it only makes it harder for qualified women to get the jobs they deserve based on their merit.
