From the looks of things last night, the prostitutes that flooded the city looking for new business weren’t the only ones whoring themselves out. Barack Obama couldn’t have picked a better set. The architecture perfectly matched the MSM’s attempt to reenact the orgy scene from Caligula.

First you had Chris Matthews defending his thrilled leg and saying “to hell” with everyone who thinks a television news anchor should hew to at least the illusion of objectivity instead of acting like a teenaged girl invited to the junior prom by the cutest boy in school.

Then you had Keith Olbermann, who wouldn’t know good journalism if it perched on his head and crapped, tearing into the AP’s Charles Babington for his news analysys piece that came out about an hour after The Obamessiah ascended up into wherever his big-money donors were staying.

At this point, you have to consider every minute of MS-NBC’s convention coverage last night an in-kind contribution to the Obama campaign.

And that was just the media you could see. There were more than a few journalists in the stadium who flung their objectivity into the air and rushed to cheer the Chosen One. I’m wondering today which news stories this morning were written by the people with grass stains on their knees from last night.
