Obama: Shame on You, America
Ben Smith has some excerpts of the speech tonight released by the Obama campaign and one bit jumped out at me.
America, we are better than these last eight years. We are a better country than this.
That’s just condescending and insulting. Who in the hell is he to say what we’re better than? The majority of this nation elected George W. Bush in 2004 – the first time that had happened since 1988. Voters absorbed all the hissy fits and the unabashed hatred of the President shoveled at them by the MSM and the Democratic party for four years and voted in record numbers to re-elect him.
What galling arrogance this man has.

"We are better than this."
I've noticed this seems to be a favorite phrase for leftists. Don't let the "we" part throw ya. I mean, according to leftists, Americans are people who stole all this land from the Indians and the Mexicans; we are greedy and selfish exploiters of all the people and all of the resources everywhere on the planet; we torture & oppress minorities. We are uncouth, unwashed and uncivilized….and stupid.
So when a leftists says "WE" are better than this, what they really mean is "I" am better than this & "YOU" are embarrassing me in front of my European friends.
Lori, I like that. I like the last bit especially. You hit it right on the head.
