Securing Our Future with Some Golden Oldies
The Democratic convention committee has released the names of more speakers who will appear at the convention on Wednesday night, the theme of which is “Securing America’s Future.” They are: John Kerry, Tom Daschle, Jack Reed, and Richard Daley.
Hmmm…the losing Presidential candidate from four years ago, the losing Senate Majority leader four years ago, and the son of one of the most corrupt mayors in the history of the country are going to be the ones to secure our future? Yeah, okay.
I had no clue who Jack Reed is, so I turned to Wikipedia. Turns out he’s plain vanilla, carbon copy progressive.
Seems to me the Democratic Party can’t stop living in the past long enough to tell me squat about the future.
