They darn well _should_ notice it - they planted the seeds back in the 50s-60s. The only thing they didn't plan for was the downfall of the USSR. The whole bloody left wing of the Democratic party has been completely indoctrinated with Communism - and they may not even know it. But after 50 years, Communism has faded from prominence or at least from awareness. That doesn't mean it isn't still there. A rose still smells like a rose - even if you don't know its name!
Their infiltration into the educational system - particularly the upper level educational system - and indoctrination efforts have been very successful. No doubt about it. Kruschev said "our grandchildren will bury yours" - he wasn't far off. Rot from the inside is a greater peril for the oak tree than winds and rains on the outside.

>>Russia has noticed that our media’s natural inclination is to promote Communist principles;>>

They darn well _should_ notice it – they planted the seeds back in the 50s-60s. Although I am a faithful viewer of Fox News aka Faux News, they seem to be the only news network that will cover both sides, but even at that, their "journalists" and "anchors" throw in their ideology whenever they can. Just watch Shep Smith during his coverage of Katrina. Why can't they just report the damn news and leave the commentary to the pundits? I gave up on NBC, CBS and ABC years ago. The bias there is sickening. But to a lib mind, it all makes perfect sense.

So what do we do? What can we do? But I agree with you...Russia has noticed that our media's natural inclination is to promote Communist principles; basically being the useful idiots that the commies know they are.

Bought? Perhaps what the Chinese have learned is that the media can be bought, and if you're a tyrant, NBC will give you a cut rate.

Lori, from what I've seen from Russia this week, it's pretty clear that other countries learn from us. Communists everywhere were probably listening to him & thinking, dang, we have to threaten our own reporters to get the kind of lavish, fawning coverage NBC offers. There were several comments through the opening ceremony that nearly made me gag. How sad for the Chinese people to know that their tormentors were treated with so much respect by a NON-Government run media, from a free country, that doesn't have to fear for their lives for reporting the truth.

You know what I thought as I listened to Matt Lauer & the others at NBC (but especially Matt) at the Olympics?
