It’s Only Going to Get Sillier
Matt Welch asks, “Am I the only one who feels like we’re in for a long silly season of economic journalism?”
Oh, no. We’ve already been in that silly season and it’s only going to get sillier the closer we get to November.
Do read his post, which in just a few short paragraphs dismantles the more than occasionally silly columnist Sebastian Mallaby. Mallaby trots out the old leftist talking points in an effort to convince us that big, fat government spending is what we need to pull us out of our economic misery. Welch is brutal, as he should be. That sort of silliness should not be endured.
