Dennis Miller: Good Guy

I’m a big fan of Dennis Miller going back to his stand-up days even before he became the anchor of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update bit. I almost never missed his talk show that enjoyed a short and incredibly-entertaining run on CNBC. “Dennis Miller Live” was probably the best show that network has ever aired. His rant about Harry Reid is still the finest bit of political commentary I’ve ever seen on television. Also good is his rant on Al Gore and global warming.

This interview with him at The Politico is a very good one. Miller is one of, if not the, smartest radio talk-show host in syndication and his show is a unique blend of politics, culture, and great movie tidbits dispensed by someone who truly loves the movies. He also has the benefit of being able to call on some great comedians to come on the air with him. His regular segments with Norm MacDonald are hilarious. He once did a bit with Larry Miller that was so funny I had to pull onto the shoulder of the road so I wouldn’t wreck my car because I was laughing so hard.

  2. I love Miller, but he’s not the smartest. Mark Levin has them all beat, even Limbaugh.
