Yet Another Journalist Looks to Cash in on the Bush-Haters
President Bush committed an impeachable offense by ordering the CIA to to manufacture a false pretense for the Iraq war in the form of a backdated, handwritten document linking Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, an explosive new book claims.
Suskind is looking to cash in, just as he’s done before, on the gullible progressive who will lap up this book like mothers’ milk. The folks who are willing to ignore a decade of history, the majority opinions of our own intelligence agencies and those of more than a couple other countries, and the unanimous findings of UN Resolution 1441 will plunk down their money to get yet another volume of Bush-hating porn. They’ll focus, to the exclusion of all else, on the few dissenters and the yellow journalists who are looking to cash in on their delusions. The rest of us, who live in the real world will simply sigh and hope that one day their yammering will stop so that we can get on with the serious adult business of making imperfect decisions about an imperfect world using imperfect tools.
