Texas Executes Brutal Rapist and Killer over World Court Objections

Good for Texas.

DALLAS (Reuters) – Texas defied the World Court and executed a Mexican national by lethal injection on Tuesday over the objections of the international judicial body and neighboring Mexico.

The World Court has no business intervening in this case. Jose Medellin, along with other members of his gang, raped, tortured, and murdered two teenaged girls. Even though he was in this country illegally, he was given all the rights that an American citizen on trial for the same crime would have gotten, which is in my opinion, more than he deserved. The jury found him guilty and sentenced him consistent with Texas law, as they do with American citizens on a regular basis. Medellin was treated as his actions demonstrated he wanted to be treated, as a citizen of the nation he broke into.
